I came to join Zitrus Corporation one day when I heard the story about an extra-ordinary doctor who died of dengue.The doctor was well known for putting God and others before himself. And a few days before his death, he was doing missionary and medical work somewhere in a rural area in Mindanao, giving medicines and treating our most in need brothers and sisters. Along his trip, he was said to have noticed his developing high fever, but conveniently ignores it. A few days after, he was confined. The next day he was said to have crossed the gateway of Heaven and Earth.
This story was the inspiration for me in joining a group of Ateneo Students enrolled in the School of Management Business Accelerator (SOMBA) Program in their pursuit to give a better protection to Filipino families from skin germ and insect-borne illnesses. I came to believe that it would be rare to die from skin germs, but fatal from insects bites, most especially mosquittos.
But why not offer protection from both Skin Germs and Insects?
And this was how the idea of Protek Family Skin Germ and Insect Protection Soap was born.
